Any interest in starting an 8 man Scrim team? The game is very enjoyable and has something of an active competitive scene. Could be for just pubbing or for playing competitively.

Sorry for asking you guys to play tech support. My dad recently purchased several new components for his desktop computer, assembled everything, and now we can't get to windows when we boot up. It goes to the screen where it asks you to select Safe Mode or Start Windows Normally, then flashes a blue screen very briefly before going back to the splash screen, and then asks us to select again.

Additionally, he's using 2 HDD's (one seagate and one western digital, connected in EIDE with the Seagate the master and WD the slave, with XP on the Seagate) and a floppy (lol). We're sort of confused, he's considering buying a new HDD, installing 7 on it (the plan is to put 7 on one of the drives and dual boot, if we have space), and then moving files over.

Currently in closed beta, with no real mention when open beta will begin. To get into the closed beta, you can either purchase a VIP starter pack for $30 usd or apply for a key from the Hirez website/Hi-command client.

If we get enough players in the closed beta before the next lan, or it goes into open beta before the next lan, how much interest would there be in playing it then?

Hey all, I've been reading some of the recent discussion about the lack of cohesion in gaming, where a majority of gamers aren't following one particular activity. This has been leading me to think about larger activities outside of the FPS genre where a large number of both the older and some of the newer attendees can join in.

I'm pitching either a 3v3 or 2v2 tournament, which could be either single elimination or round robin. Terranup16 will not be playing, and instead has expressed interest in casting the matches.

Please give me any feedback you have, whether you would prefer it to be 2v2 or 3v3, if you'd like best of 3 or best of 1, or any other matters you might have concerning a possible tournament. There are definitely enough prospective players for this to be a possibility. I'm sure those of us who are heavily into the game would go out of there way to keep newer members who don't own the game posted, in case THQ does another sale. If you would like to talk about the actual game of DoW2: Retribution, or how it compares to any other possible game, please discuss that elsewhere.
