On Monday, February 28th at 8pm in the RWC Room 206, Recreational Design and Construction will be hosting an open session where students can give their input into the design of the new Recreation/Intramural Field Project. RDC was selected as the design-build firm to complete the master plan for all phases of the recreational park to be located south of the current Intramural Fields. The complete project will cost approximately 6 million dollars, with 3.2 million dollars of CITF money allocated for Phase I. Phase I is expected to include additional artificial turf fields for Intramural Sports, with anticipated construction to begin this summer. We invite you to attend this session to give the designers feedback as they begin their initial planning stage.


All I can say is that UCF is making the right decision here. IM sports is huge within the local UCF community but the facilities absolutely suck. There aren't any practice fields and the fields we do have should have medical teams standing by to reconstruct shattered ankles and knees. I wonder if these will be done for next years use?
