If it goes past 12:30, I might drop by, but you'll have to put up with me in my circus outfit.

Are we bringing our own beer, or is beer being donated?

I've never bought alcohol for a club event. I don't know if I am comfortable starting that.

Alcohol, however, has been provided at past End of the Year Parties.

Myself, however, tends to agree with your statement.

I decided to look up the policies about booze and Student Organizations. If the drinking resides on campus we must obtain approval and fill out paperwork. It does not mention off campus activities.

It is thus in my mind, as long as the funds were allocated (which they were at last meeting), ok to purchase booze. I will think about it, and depending on my giveafucks meter on Friday, I may be inclined to purchase some beer so long as NL is ok with it.

If I do, I will be checking IDs before handing out alcohol.

If I were to purchase beer, what would you like to see as selections?

I was thinking

PBR
Milwaukee’s Best Ice
Busch Light
Natural Ice

Thoughts?

As I'm not purchasing it, my opinion is invalid. All of those are equally bad; PBR outsources most of their brewing to MillerCoors, and the rest are either MillerCoors or InBev (plus, they all taste watery with a thin layer of wheat). Might as well sacrifice quantity for quality and pick up Yuengling (if we're going for generic lagers). As long as it would be paid in cash, and the receipt saved, we can get cases of it wholesale at Costco near NLL.

Might bring a bottle of homebrew for SniperX's opinion on it. If those are the choices, I'm bringing a four pack of Old Rasputin to start out the night.

also:
We should probably get some sort of auto-update thing for the front page that displays new announcements that are made. I know a few people who have missed lanknights events that would have liked to go because the front page wasn't updated in a timely manner. I figure that this wouldn't be that hard to do, and it would probably be beneficial (on the front page there is a "next event" and a "Next meeting" just have a third "Announcements" box.

Yeah, it's trivial to do that with IP.Board, just pull the latest post info out of the mysql database. I wonder if we can bribe Daman to take the time to do it with some beer or something.

lol. the front page has been updated as soon as the DoE has actually made a thread for the event for every actual event thusfar.

does this even qualify for the event box? or the meeting box? it needs a banner selected to go in either, as well.
