During the last member meeting we took a vote on which month elections should occur, and the result was March. Therefore, we will be holding an officer election in the last week of March.

All members who have paid dues can run for any of the elected officer positions. These are: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Director of Events. If you are interested in one of these positions but would like more information as to what the job entails, feel free to ask the officer currently holding the position. If you would like to be a candidate, you can either announce it in this thread or send an email to staff@lanknights.net.

The exact date of the election meeting is not set, but we will go by the results of the poll above. You are able to vote for more than one date.

The election will be on Friday March 30, 2012 at 5:30 PM in CREOL Room 103. Please see the map in the post by Rickenwing

Any earlier would overlap with classes, which has been a problem. Also you have to do it in person, so can't be online.

Elections are in about 2 weeks. As far as I know, nobody has stated that they are running for a position.

Excellent point. I'll venture to say that pending admission to FIEA, I'll be running for secretary. Although, if I'm offered a paying job in the games industry, I'll be dropping from the race to pursue that.

Below is listed where to go for the meeting. I have scheduled the meeting for 5:30pm. The doors will most likely be locked, do not worry, I will be there to open them up for you if I am not already there. Please no lollygagging, running around, rustling anyone's jimmies, or yelling. Please be respectful of the property as this is a closed access building.

Also, there will be two member votes at the election meeting. One will be about the purchase of flyers, and the other will pertain to IRC and the shoutbox. If you're only able to make it to one meeting this year, please make it this one.

Since nobody is running for VP, and we need all the officer positions filled, I'm nominating myself. I'll do the job as best I can, but if someone else would like the position, let me know before or during the actual election meeting.
