Hey all! The Students for the Exploration and Development of Space are hosting a short workshop on the basics of rocketry. In order to participate, you must be a member of SEDS (dues are $20 for first time members, $15 for returning members), and you must pay a $10 entrance fee. These costs help SEDS, but more importantly give you a lifetime license for Rocksim 9, a design and simulation tool used in rocketry (valued at over $120 from the publisher), and an Estes rocket and motor to be put together during the workshop and then launched at a later date. During the workshop, a short presentation will be given on the basics of rocketry, followed by a short tutorial on rocksim, and then the construction of your rockets. The opening lecture at the beginning is free to attend, if you do not wish to spend any money.
The workshop is scheduled at a tentative 1-3 pm, so you would miss part of the lan. Additionally, a room is not yet secured, but notification will be sent out at a later date. We hope you will attend.

You gave a time, but no date?
Is this part of E-Week?
They had people build rockets with soda bottles for free last year. I highly recommend everyone stop by. You have a chance to win prizes, and only takes 10-15 minutes to build whatever you can think of.

I am bad at marketing. Feb 25th, same day as lan. This is not an E-Week event, as far as I know (I believe we're doing bottle rockets again, but I'm not sure).
