So if any of you shit lords played Planetside back in the day you will immediately recognize it as the best game ever and the model by which all other games should be subject to judgement. It was buggy as shit, broken as hell, and DEVOURED MY FUCKING LIFE! You could literally play with hundred of people on your shit ass internet, go to school, come back and the battle was still rolling. It was amazing.

Well now Planetside 2 has come along and I am creaming my pants like a Taiwanese whore on a friday night after Navy guys get paid. Currently they've confirmed 1000 man battles uninstanced on a single map. If this doesn't get you wet then you should have a hysterectomy stat!

NOPE. The correct statement is VS>TR>NC.

Even though the 300+ person battles were epic enough, I cant wait for even larger scale combat. Definitely looking forward to those week-long battles for a single base or strategic location.

I remember when one of our fleet commanders gathered like 10 of our squads to assault a VS controlled continent, and we show up with our big ass army in our drop ships only to find the NC and VS are battling for the same base we were planning on hitting.

So we get in there and start bombing the shit out of them with our bombers and tanks, then take over the base and wipe them out...well, I guess that alerted one of the VS commanders because 10 mins after we secured the base, about an equally sized VS force warps in and this huge battle of like about 300 people with mechs, tanks, air support etc starts going off. It was amazing.

We held the VS off because they are gay and like to put alien ding dongs in their pee holes.

Those carpet bombing runs were amazing. We used to get 5 or so bombers and fly them in formation over a base with some fighter support and wreck everything. I think the most fun was getting in the tail gunner spot on the bombers though. It was always a desperate attempt to protect your plane as long as possible while the pilot and bomber did their thing. Good times.

Think the other MW3. MechWarrior 3, but more online. That's as close as I can get, and that's still pretty far off.

The original Planetside was one of those classics that I only got to play at other people's houses, and mannnn was it good when I got the chance. Hopefully this one is at least as good as the original, totally worth a sub just for that.
