The minutes will be up right after the meeting. If you missed the announcement, shame on you for not reading the newly opened staff section.

I swear I'll try to eschew my usual mention of strippers and blow.

Meeting called at 8:00pm by Thomas "MajorLag" Bouchenot, President.

Items:

1.
-Thomas motioned to elect "tacomaster" to the position of Quartermaster. All voted in favor.
-Thomas motioned to elect "omehcks" to the position of Assistant Quartermaster. All voted in favor.
-Thomas motioned to elect Aaron "aaron123" Bley to the position of Assistant Director of Events. Motioned to postpone the decision 30 minutes. *All voted in favor.
-Adrian motioned to set the t-shirt cutoff at the first LAN, January 28th. Discussion followed, and the cutoff has been decided to be set to February 29th.
-Adrian will be addressing information gaps in the member registry, to be completed by the next LAN (January 28th).
-Messer brought up issues with tshirt reprints to the staff, and DoublePointer suggested the possibility of changing the color scheme.
-Adrian motioned to set the order date for the shirts to February, the date was set for the 26th. All voted in favor. Doublepointer, Daman, and Gamma abstained.
-Gamma will be sending the vector images to Doublepointer within the week for color changes.
Budget
-Shirts est. cost is ~$8.00 a shirt. ~$1700 in the bank and ~$100+ in paypal.
-Plans for end of the year party, and remaining donations (no dues whatsoever) to be used for prizes.
-We'll be voting on the budget at the first member meeting, and gamma requested an itemized display for the budget, Thomas directed it to be prepared in two parts for the meeting and before the 26th.
-Est. ~$100 budget for future prizes from donations.

-Deadline for registration is 18th.
-Member meeting set for Thursday 9pm.

Paperwork/OSI
-Thomas and Adrian will be completing paperwork including: The Update Form
-Financial Training to be completed by all officers pending the training before the next staff meeting.
-Attendance of the OSI Orientation required of the President and Vice President.
-Starcraft Event Registration needs to be done by the first week of spring semester.

Website
-Thomas verified that pictures were being taken at every LAN. Adrian volunteered to ensure that this will happen each future LAN. Gamma overviewed the state of the gallery and Daman will need to be available to update thumbnails and images. This will need to be done before March 17th.
-Staff section will be updated today by Gamma and Daman. The deadline is January 11th.

College LAN Alliance
-Tachyon brought up to the new administration the idea of a College LAN Alliance as per http://www.lanknight...e-lan-alliance/. Jordan suggested contacting CSL representatives to find out about the local college gaming scenes. Thomas motioned to postpone the initiative until next staff meeting.

Staff Manuals
-Tachyon will be updating the staff manuals by next staff meeting, and the hosting of the files will be transferred to LANKnights.net

Upcoming LANS
Spring 2012 LANs:
1/28/12: Pegasus ABC 12pm-12am
2/25/12: SU221 12pm-12am
3/10/12: SU218AB 12pm-12am
4/7/12: SU316AB 12pm-12am
-They may not all support the booked 80 people, so we're looking into possible solutions.
-Jordan wanted to know if there's any information about Ferrell Commons Auditorium.
-Thomas assigned Mike to find out more about Ferrell Commons by the 11th, and reserve summer bookings by the 20th.
-We'll also be looking into finding additional dates for LANs this semester, including engineering rooms.
-We're looking into more variance in LAN tournaments and games scheduled. Discussion followed as of how to implement this idea.

-Tachyon discussed prior staff LAN initiatives and will be adding them to the staff manuals: One, that staff will not be seated or engaged in gaming or distractions during any crisis or issue until said issue is resolved; Two, that staff will not be seated or engaged in gaming or distractions upon the start of a new event or game until all participants have been helped and assisted in involving themselves with the event or game.

LANFest
-Florida may lose LANFest, so we need at least one event done this year.

Starcraft II Events
-To be postponed until next staff meeting.

Constitution
-We propose to change the Elections date and submit to the club a vote to decide the new date. Adrian suggested no time near exams (September, November, or the recommended March). Adrian will be posting a discussion thread before tomorrow's close.

Sponsors & PR
-We'll be looking into additional sponsors in the coming months. (Trendy Entertainment, Futuremark, Microsoft)

Mumble
-We updated admins, added Knight and CmndrFluffy as chosen admins. We'll be adding non-staff mods as requested, and putting a 5 person limit on mods.

Staff Meetings
-We'll be attempting to enforce the "every 2 weeks" guideline from now on for Sunday nights at 8pm on the 15th.

Consoles at LANS
-Discussion to be continued at the first Club Meeting, and Thomas will be making a forum thread about it.

Gaming Knights
-Gaming Knights will be returning, courtesy of a thread (and discussion next meeting) by Mike. Cheers!

PR
-Doomz was appointed to PR Rep, 2 votes yes, the rest abstained.

Recruitment
-Discussion to be postponed until the next meeting, at the discretion of the President.

Meeting closed at 10:14pm.
