Hey guys, first post here, I was a member last year, never actually been to a LAN, but have played with some of you on BF3 and All Points Troll-a-thon.

I've been beta testing Firefall with Cmndrfluffy, http://www.firefallthegame.com, it's an MMOFPS being developed by Red 5 Studios, a company that was started up by ex-Blizzard employees back when everyone liked Blizzard.

I wont say much about the game since the site has all the info you need, but I will post some of the beta information for you guys, to determine whether or not you can test it:

Tests are currently scheduled for Wednesdays from 5pm to 9pm Pacific Time (01:00 - 05:00 +1 day GMT), and Saturdays from 11am to 3pm Pacific Time (19:00 - 23:00 GMT)

You need to uninstall your existing Firefall client before participating in this test!

You also have to pass a hardware test that they have, so no you cannot test this on your cereal box computer or Compy 386.

The current testing they have is just PvP battlegrounds, which is pretty fun, overall it seems like a good game with potential to be great.

They don't give keys out often, but the first to get them are current testers, so we could start some kind of LANKnights tree. If you're interested in testing this out, post here with your e-mail address (or PM me if you don't want other members to spam your e-mail with penis enlargement newsletters) and I will give the keys to the first two posters.

Hmmm, I wanted to play Firefall but I'm not sure about the regimented test times. I seriously doubt I could make the wednesday ones. Can is ask is it an FPS? Or even FPSish. I was pretty bummed about Tabula Rasa looking like one, but then basically being WoW with gun animations.

I've applied every time they've mentioned it and then again at both PAX East and PAX Prime and I have still yet to get an invite. The game was fun from what I was able to play at the events but without doing it on my own computer hard to say if it will continue to be.

It's actually an fps. Plays a lot like TF2 but it's an MMO.

Yeah, I've applied like every chance I've gotten.... only things I'm not liking are Free to Play and the testing times being terrible inconvenient, but otherwise I'm excitebike.

It's 8 PM EST on Wednesday.

I've never seen that error before, I'd post it up on their support forums to get an answer.

Got it downloaded and installed. Took me 3 tries though since the stupid thing insisted on downloading everything to my C: which had no room, even though I was installing to my E: drive.

any idea where it downloads that archive to? I checked temp, it's not there.

after a restart, it worked fine, anyways.
