Hello everyone.

Since next week is going to be MLG Providence along with i44, I was wondering if anyone would possibly be interested in meeting up at a bar or renting out a room at the SU to hang out and watch the tournament? Respond to the poll above and feel free to leave comments below. THIS IS NOT A DEFINITE EVENT, this poll is just to see if there is any interest.

Thanks. :)

What bar on a sunday in the middle of football season is going to turn on MLG? Also don't go to Tailgaters. Their beer is more expensive than World of Beers... that's saying somethin.

I know, I was thinking of a place farther out. Bdubs comes to mind, but they'd probably wouldn't be for it... unless we told them we'd be there from 11:00AM - 8:00PM, then they may change their minds lol

Honestly, you guys are not going to be able to compete with the football crowd. You may want to try Brooklyn Pizza on campus though. They're down in Ferrell Commons and don't get much business. Not like they have a wide selection of beer but it's there, and they had a projector and screen last time I checked.

I'm a bigger fan of barcraft than I am American football, but don't expect me to be there if there's a Man U game... :3

Sounds great, I hope a steady crowd can convince a bar or so to change its tune!

The Geek Easy at A Comic Shop is BYOB, but they'd probably allow it until 8pm (when they close for their weekly viewing sessions of The Walking Dead). As long as someone called ahead early, they probably wouldn't mind. The only rules would be to not piss off the usual Sunday group of D&D players.

Red Light Red Light doesn't have sports games on ever, and they have a projector + wifi. Underground Bluz, early on, would be vacant and have no band on from 11-8. Oblivion Taproom might be willing to do something, and they offer food also. Will's Pub might be able to section off a MLG crowd to a separate room. All of it just requires communication, and someone to take charge, from the club. Some of the people attending wouldn't quite be 21 or want non-alcoholic drinks.

The best, cheapest bet would just be having a get together somewhere to watch the games and drink.

I like this. How about we watch The Room while we're at it?
