This is most likely supposed to be the Steyr AUG. That was announced as an unlock, and was on the unlock list during beta, but does not appear anywhere else on the list.

Ah, true. Would definitely like to see the AUG so that would sit well with me. I've also seen the M82A3 sniper rifle being floated around quite a bit as well, so dunno if we'll see that too or not.

This, among other things, is what suggests the M82A3. But it also has a P90 variant that doesn't seem to be implemented, the AT4, and T44 (interestingly, no AUG; note that the Type 88 is included in the Physical Warfare package).

Another question... what does the "CO-OP score" indicate? For instance, the KH-2002 requires "126,000 CO-OP score." Does this mean 126,000 points in the co-op campaign? Or 126,000 teamwork points (i.e. points earned from healing teammates, providing ammo, getting kill assists, etc.)?

64-man Operation Metro conquest is the most retarded thing in the world. It's literally just nade spam. And nothing else. It's nice that you can play 64-man on any map, but some maps just aren't designed to hold that many players.

There was a decent amount of grenades on certain areas of that map, particularly at the first points. That being said, the Battlefield series doesn't really lend itself to 'nade spam since players are limited in the amount of grenades they can carry (nothing as bad as Call of Duty's 3-frags-per-player).

It's 'cause the map design is awful. Basically Russians win. Always. Each team starts on either side of the subway, 3 points with B in the middle. There are only THREE entrances into B, all wide staircases leading down, and all three are visible from the point. No flanking paths, no nothing. Russians start on the high ground, so they pretty much automatically get to capture B, and from that point US has no chance.

Everyone just spawns on B (or their squads at B ) and mows down anything that dares try to go up the stairs. Just keep tossing nades and rockets down the stairs and US can't do shit. It's dumb.

SP is a mixed bag. Heavily scripted, which is an okay thing, but I hate how inconsistent it is with the role it wants you to play in your squad. It lets you take point at times, and makes you the guy who can open doors (but only the ones it wants you to), but it also knocks you out of the way of the cover the ai squad mates were supposed to take. WTF? Why can I run faster than everyone else if I'm supposed to stay behind everyone?

Yeah, just finished the campaign on hard. Some facepalm areas with level design + checkpoints. Saving grace is that the game looks frickin' amazing maxed out at 1920x1200. That, and the tank combat in Thunder Run was awesome. Imo, there are two ways to do tank combat right, and if you're not going to do what Red Orchestra 2 did, then you'd better get the speed and adrenaline of driving an Abrams right and they did.

My two favorite parts of the campaign were the Aircraft carrier section (specifically, walking onto the flight deck of the carrier and then jumping into the cockpit) and Thunder Run. Game looks SOOOOOO amazing. Glad I got that 580 after all :D

I like the tank combat in World of Tanks over BF and RO. It's a mix of arcade + simulation. Arcade controls for the tank. Then there are simulation stuff like armor penetration specs, multiple round types, angled slopes that actually deflect rounds, non-cookie cutter tanks, and etc. I would say skip RO if you're playing it just for the tanks and play World of Tanks instead.

One thing I noticed about BF3 is there are a lot of icons on screen. I wish there was a toggle on/off HUD button like in RO2. Icons are always where the enemy are in my case. I must have bad luck. Then the minimap icons just become a big blur of white squares. Not very useful for distinguishing what is what.

Another World of Tanks player?!?!?! I thought I was one of the few!

Anyway, I'm going to be trying out a hardcore BF3 server once I get off of work, so hopefully that will be a little better in regards to icons on screen and what not. Although myself, Gamma, Joga, and doomz were all having a hell of a time capturing points as a squad last night. Got so many points in just 3 rounds. 'Tis a ton of fun.

Eh. Point about Thunder Run was really just that. Haven't played MP-MP yet other than beta so not commenting on it.

That said, RO2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> WoT.
