Users of the LANKnights Mumble Server will notice a new channel has been added- something oddly titled "Help Center". This new channel is intended to offer a central location for moderators and administrators to "on duty idle", making themselves easily accessible in a static location to members in need.

Therefore, if you are using the LANKnights Mumble Server and require help and do not have any other good way of contacting a moderator or administrator (or if aforementioned moderators or administrators are not responding), hop over to the Help Center channel and (preferably) use both voice and text to get the attention of any on-duty staff to assist you. If you're not sure what members are staff, Moderators and Administrators are listed in the Welcome Message in the left panel on the server.

For staff, if you are kicking around on your computer and not actively using Mumble for anything else, it is strongly recommended that you "idle" in the Help Center channel so that you can efficiently help users in need.

Can't administrators/mods observe channels that they aren't in? So that even if they're using mumble on another channel, they can hear people asking for help in the help channel?

I don't think you can, which is why I think this is a great idea because it gives a central location for mods and admins for any requests they may receive. The biggest issue otherwise is that you only receive notifications from within your channel, so it can be difficult to look into.

Channels can be linked. As in I could listen to another channel from the help channel, but I would have to be told first.

Honestly, when I'm idling like this, I don't want to hear general channel talk. I only want to be receiving talk that is relevant to Help Center, as I intend to have Help Center open even when watching videos and listening to music.

Why didn't you tell me that last night when you were on it?
