That reminds me. I'm not too sure if I should make a new thread for this or what, but I would like to make a request. Can the staff section of the forum be made viewable to everyone? I don't think that members should be able to post in it, but I think it would be a good idea if non-staff users were able to see it. If anything, this would probably improve staff-member communication and help the club develop in the right direction. Also on a similar note, can the meeting minutes for general, staff, and officer meetings be made public?

The staff section itself contains personal information from staff members, as well as some sensitive information regarding our procedures and policies. This would require a staff vote and will be brought up come next staff meeting.

Regarding the minutes, our last meeting's minutes were made public. We're having another staff meeting sometime this week and we will be making the minutes public as soon as the meeting is over. If you're looking for minutes from older meetings, they'll be provided on request.

If I recall correctly, this was an issue that was brought up when I was VP. I believe the officers took a vote on it, and the end result was more-or-less what you are describing. Does the current staff have plans to follow up on that?

Was this under your tenure? If so, why hasn't it been done already? Any reason why?

Furthermore, which meeting was this discussed on? I know Tachyon should have the minutes for each meeting but I'd like to go ahead and have a way to have a timeline to search for information on this.

Thank you

I don't think there are (or should be) any procedures and policies that are "sensitive information," especially considering this is a student-run organization for students with elected officers. If you aren't following the club's written laws, then I think there is a problem. Also, having a staff vote for this seems a little out of place. If there is a vote, it should be a member vote.

As far as the meeting minutes go, I think the problem is that we aren't aware of staff and officer meetings, so having to make requests for them seems impossible. It shouldn't be too difficult to post the minutes for this school year on the forum though. All it would take is one locked thread that is routinely updated.

It was at the end of my time as vice president; if anyone would be aware of why it hasn't been done yet, I assume it would be either Gamma or the current staff members. As none of the other officers were ever given administrative control over the website, and were essentially denied access to any of the forum functions beyond simple mod powers, opening the staff forum for public viewing was not something we could have done.

I would be very happy to find the minutes for you myself, but unfortunately I can't access the staff section to look for them =P I wonder if they're even there, to be honest. We were pretty bad about recording/posting notes back then.

Just to inform everyone, we are having a staff meeting soon and will address how to better give you guys information about staff activity and decisions. Just so we don't derail this topic, if you would like to continue the conversation, please make a new post.

Only thing: The dude in TF2 tourney that did not do anything but troll as the engineer by building a teleport at the exit of the spawn, and having the teleport drop you right next to it, but behind a wall so you could not see it was really taking you nowhere...

(guesses you were on Brain's team)

I watched that tournament, the user went by gammasts. I thought Gamma VPN'ed into the LAN.

I've been stalling this post. That said, I had a good time, played what 10-11 hours of League with Ninwak, Nallycz, LaTrayvus, and DooMz. Good stuff. That said, I'm looking forward to the next LAN and hope to see a LoL tournament running. Granted it's not any of the staff's fault, but that train-wrecked hard toward the end of the tournament. Due to some of the teams and the thing with the sponsor or whatever. I still don't entirely know what happened. I just know LaTrayvus doesn't understand that Eve is the worst champion in the game...Thanks for the good time guys.
