Welcome back to school! Usher in the new school year with your friends at the Back 2 School LAN.

This event's contest: Battlefield Bad Company 2 Tournament. We'll be renting out a server for this event. In this tournament, two teams of 12 will compete against each other for the best 2 out of 3 matches.

Winnings: On the winning team, each member will receive a prize of a Team Fortress 2 hat of their choosing at a value of $3 or less.

We'll also be playing standard games during the LAN such as Starcraft 2, Team Fortress 2, and more! More information, games list, and RSVP are located on the Events page: http://www.lanknights.net/events/

As always, our events are FREE for UCF Students/Alumni who bring valid UCF ID's and we ask for a $5 donation from non-students.

Hey all, a note about tomorrow's event:
I got contacted by UCF Event Services tonight. Apparently something's screwy with the walls in the room we have booked for the LAN. So, we won't know until tomorrow, but if we don't have the Cape Florida room tomorrow, our event will have signage posted up saying so, and the event will instead be in the first floor Pegasus Ballroom. Either way, we have a kickin' room for tomorrow's LAN. Hope to see you all there!

I'm all for the tournament, but do 24 people even own the game? The game mode might need to be switched to squad deathmatch or squad rush. About time we got a decent tournament though.

It's $19.99 at the moment, and I've emailed EA and Steam about the possibility of timing a sale to go with our event. Not that they'll get back to me, but it's worth a shot.

For the BC2 matches, what will be the gametype for the tournament(Squad deathmatch, Conquest, or Rush)?

Is there any schedule for events? Like, I wouldn't be able to come for Battlefield (since I don't own it), but I'd love to come by whenever we decide to play TF2. Will there be a general timeframe for each game?

I'm sure there will be people who don't want to play bf. Usually a group will be playing sc2 or tf2 or dow if you are interested. It isn't like we get 50 person bc2 games going(at least when I've been here)


question: there isn't a closer lot than outside VAB right? I've always parked there in the past.

Most of us park behind HPA because there is an access road there to the Union Loading Docks... makes bringing your stuff in a breeze.

I've always used.the loading dock on the vab side and then went and parked. Whoops, I'll have to go around and find that one.

It's like right next to the wackadoo's patio. Hard to miss. Has the elevators like 20 feet from the entrance

I'm not a member, but i think i'll check it out. What's the popular games? Obviously SC2 and TF2, plus the tournament. Anything else worth noting?

There isn't really a set list of popular games. I mean, CSS will probably be dusted off.. I see a number of battlefield games going on quite often.. you might be able to pool together a following on some source mods, there's a dedicated group of Warhammer players.. Just take out a game when there are some people not doing much (or getting frustrated) and see what people think.

Yeah if someone suggests Dawn of War 2 I'll basically be up for playing it, assuming I can actually get time off of work for this event...
