The authentication servers are probably on a different port which is most likely blocked... Or it's a randomized port in a given port range where 10% of them are actually open here in ucf...

I called the service desk and they say they have not blocked any access to my port. Also, in HoN, I was able to join games located in the EU but all USA games I could not join. But as of now even the EU games don't work. Since they say they have not blocked anything, I'm thinking that something physically might be wrong with my port.

p.s. same thing with bad company 2, i can't search for servers unless on wifi. But I can play steam games with ethernet once i am actually connected. I think it's just the initial connection phase that has problems (maybe p2p, no clue).

Also, I'm on a desktop so I can't really connect to the wireless ucf networks >.>

Yeah, no real rhyme or reason as to how it just works. Just be patient and eventually, you should connect.

It appears that the issue is primarily confined to Towers 2. I'm having the same issue as are a few other residents.
