What is the best way to hook up oldschool consoles, ie, n64, genesis, snes or nes, to a monitor? I'm using DVI with my comp. and there's also HDMI and VGA on my monitor. I wish there was some RCA to HDMI conversion cable.

Pretty sure there is an intermediate device that converts the component cables to all of the inputs you have, but its like a router sized box, not just a converter cable. I'll link it if I stumble upon it. Also, you can convert your component cables straight to VGA with just a simple cord if VGA was good enough for you.

There is, but it's ridiculously terrible. The video lag created by most of those boxes is horrible. I've played games on monitors using various boxes, and they all sucked.
