Since I start a new job next Thursday my current employer needs a good replacement :). ACW has been around since 1989. It is a great place to build experience and get to know the IT field in Orlando.

We are a wholesaler, we don't officially sell to the public, only to local businesses and IT companies and resellers - but we try and help anyone that comes in.

Requirements:
-Properly diagnose and repair PC hardware problems.
-Properly troubleshoot Windows related problems.
-Process RMAs to our vendors (ie. Asus, EVGA, Lenovo, etc.).
-Assemble custom-ordered PCs in an efficient and organized manner.
-Must be 18.

Must have great people skills and work hard to keep the customer satisfied.

I've been with the company for almost 6 years. I learned a lot and I have a lot of repeat customers.

Most of the problems we get are hardware related, ie. bad RAM, failing PSU, HDD, etc. The rest is software, mostly virus related, or Windows rotting out. Servers are a bit more complicated. We don't set up servers (Domain Services, Terminal Services, etc.), only troubleshoot/repair hardware related problems.

Certifications preferred, but not required. Full-time availability is preferred, but part-time is OK. All that matters is that you know your stuff.

We are located in Fern Park, FL - about a 25minute drive from UCF.

Send your resume to: jimmy@acw.net Make sure you put "Resume" in the subject line.

Hours, depends on your availability. Like I said, we can even take part-time, although full time is preferred.

Business hours: 9am-6pm M-F. We are not open on the weekends :), so no more working weekends if any of you currently do :).

Compensation, depends on past experience.

I can totally do all of those things easily, and would be available for full-time, the only problem is I have no actual past experience (job-wise) nor qualifications. Would it be a waste of my time to apply for this job?

How did you like working there? I'm looking for a new job and this could be a good opportunity. Also, this isn't a minimum wage job is it?

I can do everything on the list, but is there any extra reading they provide? (For example, when something in windows screws up and I happen to not know what to do, Google is great. But I'm not sure what they would think of that. Is there some kind of booklet I would head to?)

There's no booklet. All that matters is that you fix the problem, so google is fine.

It's been great working here. I just graduated in a different degree field than computers and just got a job in my career field, so that's why I'm leaving. Otherwise, I'd stay.

So, no one has sent in a resume, yet???

I thought this would get snatched up quickly. This place really needs a technician!!!! It's an easy job. This ain't no geeksquad - you don't deal with retail, you deal with level-headed customers who know what they're doing... Hours are flexible!

Need a motivated individual!!

I would apply for it but like I said earlier I just got a job. Certainly sounds like something I would be interested though.
