Hey guys,

So after setting up a few LANs since getting my position as Quartermaster, I'd like to actually set up a group of people that would be willing to arrive at the LANs early to help me set up the events. Basically what I am looking for are people who are:

• Willing to arrive at least an hour to an hour and a half early to each event
• Willing to learn about setting up networks (laying out network cables and setting up switches)
• Willing to learn about how power is distributed for each LAN
• Willing to help any member who has power or network troubles at LANs (general issues - I can handle the more specific problems)
• Willing to stay after the events are over to help break down the events

I'm looking for three or four people who think they fit all of these criteria. I can handle bringing all of the equipment to the events; you just need to show up to the room.I will generally be in the room about an hour and fifteen minutes before the start of each event, so if you can, just come up to the designated room and I can get you started. If you decide to join this group, I expect you to show up to most of the events early. If you are not able to make the events, just let me know that way I'm not wondering where you are. I will be sure to message everyone on the list below about the LAN's about a week in advance to see if you are able to make it, as well as the day before to confirm.

I am actually surprised people are signing up to do this (a lot of LANs in the past have started late). I hope people stay late to help break down too?

I remember the days when I'd show up 30 minutes after the LAN start time and we were still making cables. Good times.

One, I don't remember the last time I even saw you at a LAN.

Anyway, the past two LAN's were setup on time (the Anime and Nerd Club affiliated LAN was even finished early, barring any servers of course). And I'm not too surprised that people are signing up for this. I see a few people helping out before and after anyway. Also, a part of this is staying after LAN's are over to help pack up the equipment.

Alright thanks guys! Got the people that I wanted to help out so the Official Breakdance Crew has been formed! I'll be sure to message you all when I get ready to organize the cables and other equipment; like I said during the meeting, it will be sometime after exams are over, probably the day after if you guys are up for that. I'll also be sure to message you all before LANs and other events for setting up and breaking down. Again I want to be there at least an hour to an hour and a half early just so that everything is set up properly.
