Hey guys, this is probably going to be a stupid question but I haven't had to deal with getting different types of RAM in a really long time but my new build is forcing me to. This is the motherboard that I'm going to get. I'm trying to figure out what kind of DDR3 RAM I can buy. I know that I could buy 2200 RAM but that is more expensive than I would like. Would I be able to use 1600 RAM even though it is not specifically listed on the motherboard specs or do I have to go with 1333 RAM if I don't want to pony up for the 2200? If I went with the 1333 I'm not sure what the different PC3 numbers are that are listed on newegg. Which PC3 number would I need? Thanks for any help you guys can give.

It supports up to the stated frequency. So anything below it should work.

Memory Standard
DDR3 2200/1333/1066/800
Translated: It will work with the frequencies: 2200/1333/1066/800
Under details tab, Lazy bastard :)

I'll advise you to check (from the RAM's manufacturer's website) that it will work with your mobo once you make a selection, though.
