It's a steamworks game, so you just enter the code in steam and it unlocks there. It's an awesome game btw.
D2D is also doing a deal where every 1 in 5 orders is free. It doesn't tell you until you complete the purchase, but you have a 1 in 5 chance of getting it for free.
