Today this drive is $220 with another $25 off via code BTEYXNV25. I HAVE this actual drive and can tell you it's fucking awesome as a boot drive. Actually, it's the only drive I am even using in my whole rig at this point. I boot Win 7 in sub 20-second times and can highly recommend this drive. As most people went OCZ with their SSD choices, I've actually only bought drives from G.Skill. They work, using the same chips typically, and are cheaper. However, they have been just as reliable as an OCZ would find one of the Vertex drives to be.
If you've been on the fence, here's something that may push you over.

They using the same Sandforce 1200 controllers as the Vertex IIs?

Actually mine is a Sandforce controller...spec-wise it matches up with a Vertex II, so I would have to say yes, Avalon
