So I've got some new computer parts coming in tomorrow morning and that will leave me with (most) a computer that I won't be using. I've had it for a year now and runs perfectly fine, I just felt the need for some more horsepower for streaming games online and such. Here are the specs of the computer:

  • Antec 300 Case
  • Asus M3N72-D Motherboard (nforce 750a SLI chipset)
  • 4 GB DDR2 Wintec Industries RAM
  • Athlon II X2 CPU running at 2.7 GHz
  • 430 Antec Power Supply
  • Intel 10/100/1000 Mbit Dual-port Server NIC (NO LONGER OFFERING THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC REASON; A PRICE WILL HAVE TO BE WORKED OUT BEFOREHAND FOR THIS NIC).
I'm asking for $150 for this. It will not come with a DVD reader/writer or a hard drive, as well as keyboard/mouse or monitor, even though I have three of them. If you are interested in it, reply to this post or message me through the forums or on Steam (check my signature for ID).

how much for the hard drive by itself? I desperately need some sort of space solution until I get around to building my new computer sometime in the next 6 months. Also, it's SATA yeah?

Why don't you connect it in RAID with your other harddrive freekout?

Well I did that for awhile but my motherboard doesn't like RAID very much. Not too much of a problem for me anyway for me. I'm not sure how well my new motherboard does RAID yet because I haven't gotten it yet. I'm basically sitting here waiting on the UPS truck to show up lol. Hopefully I'll be able to have the new machine working today but we'll see. \

@Otacon: I would say the difference between the two prices is fine really. $25 for a 7200 RPM 250 GB SATA drive. Work for you?

Upgrading to a Phenom II X4, stock at 3.2, probably going to overclock it to 3.6 or so. Also getting 4 GB of DDR3 1333 RAM and an MSI 890GXM board. I love Newegg combo deals.

Good choice on the chipset. Eventually you can upgrade to AM3+ (bulldozer) CPU when they come out or just get a Thuban 6-core CPU.

So I have decided to change my offer for the computer. I will not be giving the option of getting a hard drive, however, I recently found out that the server NIC that is in it is worth $175 so that stays with me. Because of that, I'll lower the price to $150 for the case, motherboard, power supply, ram, and processor. If you wanna check it out sometime just to see what it looks like or whatever, let me know and it shouldn't be a problem. This would be a great server and can run most games surprisingly well combined with the right graphics card.
