No no, it's "Patrick Pacard" - didn't you read it?

hai guise

So I ordered a new laptop and it will be pretty good for gaming so I'll be back on steam/gaming again in the next few weeks.

Interestingly enough it ships on the one year anniversary of my old laptops death last year.

Before anyone jumps on me about buying a gaming laptop, I needed a beefy laptop that can run multiple VMs and had potential to do cuda. It just so happens that the aforementioned requirements lead to a decent gaming laptop.

Yeah, laptops are not ideal for gaming, due to the cost/performance ratio and the smaller screens and interface always feel unnatural.

Welcome

It's more of a "welcome back," actually.

Good to see you finally got a gaming computer again, Ninjafish - even if it is a laptop.

Hi Guys,

I'm a psychology major (4th year), and I don't have a facebook, but I'm considering Twitter so I'll update this when I create one! I'd like to attend a LAN or two this semester if it fits my schedule! I used to LAN it up all the time in high school, but it began to seem that girls preferred keg parties to LAN parties.

Right now I have a minecraft server (PM or email me for IP), and I'm thinking about getting into WoW or something - I like MMOs, just not grinding.

Hey Tim, welcome to the club!

We are hosting a large LAN on 26 February alongside with the Anime Club. There is going to be a room dedicated to a Starcraft 2 tournament, as room for Rock Band and Guitar Hero, as well as the main room for the LAN and about 6 consoles. It goes from noon on 26 February to 2 AM. Check out the Events page for more details about this event. Hope to see you there!

Hey I'm Phil, I just transfered back to UCF, from Valencia.
Sadly I dont have many PC LAN games any more due to a major lack of money :(
But I love me some games, so here's hoping I can jump in somewhere!

Hey Phil! Glad to see you found LANKnights.
There are a small group of games we play at almost every LAN (TF2, killing floor, SC2, and Half life mods). Most of them aren't too steep on the price. Buying Half-life 2 or another game using the same engine will let you get a bunch of the mods for free. I'm sure there'll be some games you can snag from people at the LAN if you play only to LAN.
Hope to see you at the next event.

Awesome I'll look into it for sure!
I didnt see it in the quick glance I took around but do you all play online at all other than LANs?
Was looking for some more frequent gaming as well as the huge get togethers.

Ya we will play together a lot over a wide variety of games pretty much every day, just fragmented groups of people based on what game you want to play!
