Was pretty damn good but I can see why people hate Michael Cera, he is annoying as fuck in every movie he plays.

I didn't think he was bad at all, but then I haven't really seen him in much else, I've not been interested in anything else he's been in till now, so I might now have as much of a bias as some people. I dunno. There was definitely some George Micheal that comes through, but Scott Pilgrim is a very different character and I think he did a good job.
It's a crime that it has done so well with critics and is doing so poorly box office wise. I mean, it's near the top of the pile at Metacritic, and it's at 81% on Rottentomatos, 79% top critics wise and the community rating is 89%. The vast majority of people who saw it seem to love it. The only people who don't seem to enjoy it are the 'get off my lawn' types(a lot of the negative reviews saying it's directed at the ADD crowd and the like). I at least partially blame the utterly god awful commercials. I was sold on the original trailers from back in February or so, and the commercials were nothing at all like them, it felt like they were trying to sell it as something other than what it was, and the movie guy voice going over some of them suuucked.
tl;dr It's a deperessing world where Vampires Suck does twice as much business as Scott Pilgrim.

Well mind you SP has been out for a while now, whereas Vampires Suck just came out.
Scott Pilgrim's been out just over a week, and even just beyond this past weekend, it's going to make more money over it's lifetime. It still already beat Scott Pilgrim's first weekend. How people keep going to see those god awful 'X Movie' movies is beyond me.

I have actually met someone who said they really like those movies. I looked at them and really had no response.
