Hey, I am looking to sell my laptop, and wasn't sure what I want to charge for it. I have some numbers floating around, I'm the seller so they might be to higher.

Just wanted to know what yall think it is worth.

Gateway FX 7811

Specs
Link to Official Specs
At a quick glance --
P8400 Duel core 2.26ghz 1066mhz
Nvidia 9800 GTS 512mb
4gbs 1066mhz ddr3
17" 1920x1200 screen
200GB 7200rpm + 250GB 7200rpm HDs (In raid 0 for me personally)
Light Scribe/Buner dvd drive
HDMI ect ect
N wireless card
NASA certified

Also, there is still just over a year of the black tie warranty on this thing that covers anything and everything from Best Buy. If that would matter much.

So, what do yall think it is worth?

Does the battery still hold original charge or less?

Is the AC adapter not severely bent? Is the AC plug on the laptop still strong (not loose)?

If it still looks and runs like the day you bought it, then at least $600 for it. More if the warranty is easily transferable. Many laptops come with just 1 year warranty.

I'd be lucky to get $300 from my laptop.

Edit:
Nasa Certified brings up the price even more!

The battery isn't at its peak (3 1/2 - 4 hours) But I don't let it sit in the computer running on AC power. Just tested, and at 95% charge it stated just under 2 hours 56 minutes.

The Brick was actually just replaced, so its brand new. And it fits in the power slot fine.

For the most part its blemish free (- finger prints etc) There is, however, one scratch. But not on anything important, and not all to deep. Also, the wireless switch is broken. Its fixable, but I never cared to fix it. And for the amount of decreased value, it isn't worth spending the time. (Its on, and the adapter works perfectly fine of course)

I'm unsure if the black tie warranty is transferable. When I've brought my laptop in they had never asked me for identification. There is a friend that is interested it buying it, so I figured if he needed it and Best Buy actually denied him I'd just bring it in myself. Its a very good warranty, they repair or replaced (the whole laptop if need be) for free for 3 years. There is a year and a few months left on that.

EDIT: Yea, the RAID0 helps with that whole bottle neck problem. Its laughs in the face of SSD! So NASA gave it a thumbs up.

EDIT EDIT: Thanks Mad!

Well, I didn't even have to look at the specs. I saw NASANASANASANASANASA Certified Hardware and knew that you would sell this thing no problem.

But seriously, this is an amazing laptop and I think the $600 price that was previously mentioned should be about right.
