I'm still gonna get a 5770 from xfx, but reading all about the vertical line symptoms after playing makes me a lil bit nervous about leaving nvidia. But no one here seems to have those issues so it must be a small percentage...


My best guess is that it's users who don't have enough quality power going to their systems, or people who legitimately have bad cards but are too stupid to RMA them for working ones.

That's what I figure as well, if it was an actual manufacturing problem with the card, Ati would be smart enough to issue some sort of recall.
