Rules must be followed by all forum members regardless of any condition. Violating rules will result in a penalty from moderation up to a permanent ban according to current Staff decisions on the issue.

UCF Golden Rule
As a UCF Club we are bound by the Golden Rule Policy. Essentially, as a UCF club, LANKnights can be held responsible for the actions of itself and it's club members, and vice-versa. Members who break the law can also be additionally punished by the University. All conduct records will be maintained by the University and can be released according to federal and state laws. We're also bound by all decisions of the 10 offices responsible for maintaining the Golden Rule policies.

General Piracy Topic Warning
Any threads or posts about pirating software on these message boards will be deleted or locked, whether implied or directly stated.

PC Gaming Club does not support Piracy.

What you do on your own is your business, but we will not allow it on our forums. If we did not take this action it could damage relationships with sponsors and locations we hold our events as well as cause the club to be suspended by UCF for violation of the Golden Rules.

Posting Rules
Each forum has a specific topic. Moderators are available and will enforce topic discussion. If you create a thread in the wrong place it's OK: mistakes happen and if you ask nicely a moderator can move the thread to the correct location. Personal attacks will not be tolerated, and as such will be moderated.

If you're new to the forum, make an introduction post here: http://www.lanknight...1-2012-edition/

Anything Goes is the place for off-topic conversation and flaming. This forum is not moderated. Please understand that this section does not represent any official club opinion, values, or prose.

Shoutbox Rules
When posting in the shoutbox you must follow all forum rules, especially the Piracy Rule and UCF Golden Rule.

Be Polite
Generally, have a sense of ethics. We all come from different backgrounds and have been raised by different parents with different values. So have an understanding for your fellow gamer and forum troll. Cursing is allowed, but still remember to respect those around you. If you want to post pornographic images or any nudity; post it as a link not the actually picture. Remember to put "NSFW" before the actual hyper-link.

No huge font sizes. Excessive use of smilies or forum tags will be moderated.

Speak out. If there is content on the message board here that offends you, talk to a moderator to have it removed or edited. If you talk to us it is completely confidential and will be regarded as an anonymous complaint.

NSFW
Remember the NSFW rule. If you post content that you wouldn't want your mom or boss to read, put in the thread title "[NSFW]" or Not Safe For Work at the beginning of your thread name.

Spam
Spam is defined as duplicate-like same subject or trend posts, as well as content that is geared towards misleading forum-goers in relation to external links or selling products inappropriate for LANKnights.net forums. If the staff feels that you are stretching these rules with spam like posts appropriate action will be taken.

Username Colors
Bold Names with a Golden Color denotes the user being a Staff Member. Names that are bold and white denotes the user being a Paid Club Member. This means they have paid dues for the recent term and have access to the Paid Member Only forum. Bold Names with a Green Color denote the user is a representative of a company who sponsors us or is a direct Sponsor of Lanknights.

Signatures
Signatures must not contain any "NSFW" material or material that violates club rules. They must only consist of text or images. The signature must be under 300 pixels tall by 900 pixels wide and contain at the maximum 7 images including a maximum of one animated image. Signatures violating these rules will be modified and locked.

One last piece of advice from Bucu: "To gain other's respect; one must first respect others."
