so basically windows guys started on the code to do this originally, but it never made it to the final version, and the forgot some of the code, so these guys found it and created this program.

What's the advantage of using this instead of just setting up an ad-hoc wireless network with Internet Connection Sharing?

As I've discovered recently, this is incredibly easy to set up in Windows 7, and seems to work just fine.
