Honestly, the new HTC HD2 looks amazing. And for running Windows Mobile, it appears to run great. It's not out in the US though and not sure if it ever will be. Maybe I can trade my old iPhone 3G for one with someone in Europe.

I hear it's a proprietary crapbubble that eats money for breakfast unless you go through the effort of jailbreaking it and pirating stuff, but why do that when there are plenty of upcoming phones that are going to be better and inherently use a far more open operating system as opposed to Apple's proprietary bs?

Attack Of The Show, I believe is doing reviews on Android specific phones this week on there Gadget Pron segment... they reviewed the HTC Hero for Sprint... and I have to say that I am liking it a lot... i've had Sprint for years... and I haven't been impressed with Sprints line of touch based smartphones... but the new HTC Hero with Android looks really awesome...
