It's happened a few times now, but I lately got a second monitor for my laptop, and it's crashing my computer. The screens will blink black a few times before going into a blue screen of death, black screen of death, or freeze all together. I've had to manual restart and it doesn't seem like my computer has suffered any damages, but it's getting frustrating. Before a crash it will say "A display driver (I think) has stopped working but has been recovered," but goes to crash anyway. I have Vista Home 64 bit, and the monitor is a SyncMaster 712N by Samsung. Dunno if any other components of my laptop need to be considered, but if you could offer some advice, that'd be swell.

Is it happening when the computer comes out of sleep, or during a video game? Vista has had trouble with both these things since day 1

Your graphics card and graphics card driver are also pretty sizable factors.

No. Usually happens when I'm just using chat or have Firefox. It tends to happen when I leave one monitor (usually the second) dormant for a bit then go over and click anywhere on it.
As for the graphics card, it's an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650

It's not the monitor that's the problem; it's your constant viewing of the PORNOGRAPHIES.

I'd try updating your drivers.

I touch myself, for a buck I'll touch you.
