As an FYI, there are some people from the UCF Anime Spot club trying to make a Game Developer's Club. I checked it out and they all seemed pretty cool and motivated. I'm working with them to get everyone involved in the Winsauce sessions, as to get everyone up to the same skill level for game design. If you're interested, let me know, I think their meetings are every Wednesday at 7pm at Burger King in the Union.

Just to restate: Winsauce is NOT planning on making a commercial/full game, rather it's aim is to teach members all the skills necessary for a career in the game industry and help them develop a professional next-gen portfolio.

The Game Developer's Club is different from Winsauce. Winsauce will be something at the LANKnight's LANs and online. I'm going to be at as many of the GDC's meetings as possible, but we're not affiliated with them at the moment.

Here's the modcenter site: Apply for membership to the site and then the project. From there you will be able to access full design documents, tutorials, source code, and more.

I must be doing something wrong but i have an account and when i click that link it asks me to log in (even though i am already) then takes me to the home page, I then tried searching for the project and didnt get it.

Guys I just put some of my winsauce in a cup. I think it could definitely assist your winsauce gathering efforts. Just be sure not to get it in your eyes; it can cause temporary blindness, and paralysis.

1. Download http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads.
2. Restart your PC.
3. Go to My Settings (under My Workspace) in http://www.modcenter.com.
4. Click 'Set subversion password', and the send e-mail button.
5. Right click in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Mods and make a new folder called "Ghost".
6. Right click on the new 'Ghost' folder and select SVNCheckout.
7. Enter "http://svn.modcenter.com/svn/repos/ghost" as repository directory, your modcenter username from http://www.modcenter...jects.ghost/scm (says u########), and type your normal modcenter password.
8. Hit 'OK' and it should download the source code to your directory. (all 300+ megs O.o)

To update the code to the most recent version, right click on the 'Ghost' directory and select SVNUpdate.

To update the server SVN code with your new code, right click on the 'Ghost' directory and select SVNCommit.

Really tired ATM so if this doesn't make much sense I'll revisit it tomorrow.

I used SVN when I was part of the Project Revolution mod team for wc3 and it works really well. Definitely an essential program that keeps everyone up to date with the same version. If you have any questions on how it works let me know.

I had to create the mod folder for crysis and it was under my steam directory (had to search a bit farther in it) because I used steam to download crysis.

it wont let me log in, im using my mod center username and modcenter password but it doesnt log in....also when i set subversion password, it gives me a link in my email, and that link gives me an Invalid Password Request: "If you need to reset your password, go to the SourceForge home page and follow the "forgot password link."

Also prolly a bad idea to rezz on-topic threads but it was so lulzy I had to reply.

I had some people ask me about the project: No, it was never completed, yes it was a success because I now know how to mod Crysis entirely and my modeling/texturing skills are up to Crysis standards.
I'll let you know about my next project once I finish de_union.
