I've been thinking about getting the Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 5 for my BFG 6800. Anyone have any experience with aftermarket air coolers for video cards? Is there a better one for around $25?

The Zhalman heatpipe setup, you can find it on Newegg. I'd much rather take an active cooling setup over a passive one.

i've got both an arctic cooler and zalman heatpipe. i definitely like the heatpipe better because it covers but the memory and teh core unlike the acrtic cooler. i slapped on a vantec tornado on my heatpipe and never gotta worry about heat issues again. i can also never hear nething other than the fan when its on full blast but eh..lol but seriously, i never put it that high newayz. i recommend the heatpipe and either their fan (low noise) or any other fan that u prefer

The Artic Cooler is a good solution if you use ramsinks. The Zalman setup doesn't cool your ram at all, just the GPU.

Also make sure to use Artic Silver 5 for the GPU and a high quality Artic Silver epoxy for the ramsinks.
