Gigabyte GA-8GPNXP Duo

It looks pretty good for a intel mobo... I'm just researching stuff tring to put together a wishlist to buy when i finally get things together

So i was just wondering what everyone's thoughts where

They are right. Asus and AMD in my opinion are ROCK solid. I have NEVER had problems with my mobo or processor... the only problems i had were the ones that i created myself and even then it STILL works flawlessly.
edit: whats up with all the capitals? i dont know. dont ask.

i like asus, but i like epox a little more

If you are going with an athlon xp, the Abit NF7-S is probably the best motherboard out there.

Although, there really is no reason to buy an athlon xp these days as 90 nm socket 939 AMD chips are out now (at reasonably low prices, might I add).

The athlon 64 chips are superior to Intel chips in almost every respect now, even with encoding. The motherboard and chip also tends to cost less. I highly recommend going the AMD route as opposed to intel, especially if you are into gaming.
